E-Waste Dates

City Public Works will be holding E-waste disposal dates this summer. Dates include Saturday, June 25th, and Saturday, August 27th.
Location: This will take place at the Public Works building at 233 E. Railroad St.

City Council Meeting Change

The City Council meeting, originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 8th has now been changed to Wednesday, February 9th. The meeting will be held at 7:00 pm at City Hall.

Office Closing

Holiday Hours

The City of Prophetstown Office will be closed Friday, December 31 for New Year’s. We will be open again on Monday, January 3rd. Thank you for your understanding.

The City of Prophetstown Offices will be closed Thursday, December 23 and Friday, December 24. We will open again on Monday, December 27.

Notice to Public

On October 4th, 2021 the City will be using the Emergency Well (for a fliter media ad) for about a week. There might be some discoloration in the water for this time since we will be using the emergency well. Thank you and sorry for any inconviences this will cause.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

CITY OF PROPHETSTOWN

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2021 AT 7:00 P.M.

The City of Prophetstown will hold a public hearing to review project performance and obtain citizen input regarding the completed route 78 lift station project.  This project was funded in part with grant funds from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.  The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall, located at 339 Washington Street, Prophetstown, IL 61277. Residents of the City of Prophetstown are encouraged to participate.  Persons with disabilities or non-English speaking persons who wish to participate in the public hearing and need assistance should contact City Hall at 815-537-5598 no later than October 7, 2021.  Every effort will be made to make reasonable accommodations for all persons.

E-Waste Program Update

The last e-waste of the year took place on August 21st, 2021. The new dates will be set after the first of the year as long as the county re ups in the program for 2022.
